Lana Del Rey has been sitting with her latest single for 17 months. Today, “Henry, come on” is yours.

The singer-songwriter in a video shared to Instagram Friday said the single may not be her favorite from her upcoming tenth studio album — which is again without a title — but it is “the song that the album hinges on.”

“When I was working on it, I called Drew Erickson and I asked him to do strings,” Del Rey said. “I wanted a Glen Campbell feeling on the top, and a little bit of Disney, and I wanted sticks on the bottom — something very dry, brushy.”

“God damn, Drew — you delivered,” Del Rey said.

Luke Laird also worked on the song.

“If you’re in Tennessee, you know him, and you know what a great guy he is,” Del Rey said. “He always encouraged me.”

Del Rey hardly ever lets people touch her songs, she said. With Laird, it was different.

“He was so humble. He would be like, ‘I don’t know if this is stupid, but what if we had this little turn of phrase here?’” Del Rey said. “He would have me cracking up because it was so good. He was so good.”

Del Rey worked with Laird and Erickson on the song “Bluebird,” which is expected to release next week.

The singles may be trickling out, but don’t expect the album anytime soon.

“I’m really happy for this album to be moving along,” Del Rey said. “You know it’s not going to come on time, right?” The original release date, which Del Rey shared on Instagram last year, was May 21, 2025.

The name has changed, too. Originally titled The right person will stay, the album is again unknow.

“Should I even tell you that the name changed again?” Del Rey said. “Should I tell you that now? While you’re so happy that you even have a song?”

Del Rey is set to play Stagecoach music festival at the end of April before starting her summer tour in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
