Reese Witherspoon and her production company, Hello Sunshine, are looking to cast a young Elle Woods.

Reese Witherspoon announced Wednesday on Instagram that her production company, Hello Sunshine, is looking to cast a high school-aged Elle Woods for the upcoming Amazon show Elle — the prequel to Legally Blonde.
The Elle Woods casting is open, which means anyone can submit an audition.
"I cannot wait to see all the Elle Woods out there," Witherspoon said.
Witherspoon originally announced the prequel series in May on Instagram, writing, "Before she became the most famous Gemini vegetarian to graduate from Harvard Law, she was just a regular '90s high school girl."
The audition page adds, "Elle will encounter her first love and her first heartbreak, and she will find her moral convictions."
Filming is tentatively scheduled to begin between April and July 2025 in Vancouver, Canada. The deadline for audition videos is Oct. 25, 2024.
